Bhagyashree shares the one plant ‘that you must have in your home’

Having indoor plants not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of your living space but also contributes significantly to maintaining your overall well-being, both mentally and physically. If you’re contemplating which plants to introduce into your home, don’t overlook the immensely beneficial aloe vera shrub, as recommended by Bhagyashree. In a video shared on Instagram, she highlighted the plant’s versatility, offering a myriad of advantages for skin, hair, and overall health.

Bhagyashree emphasized the simplicity of growing and maintaining aloe vera, describing it as a plant with numerous benefits that extend to skincare, haircare, and even dietary consumption. She underscored its moisturizing and antibacterial properties, making it highly advantageous for the skin. Aloe vera aids in acne control, diminishes pigmentation, and ensures skin hydration. Additionally, it contributes to softening color-treated hair.

In terms of health benefits, Bhagyashree mentioned aloe vera’s ability to alleviate constipation and lower blood sugar levels. She recommended a simple routine of taking a spoonful of aloe vera pulp, mixing it in warm water, and consuming it.

Supporting the claims of skin and hair benefits, Dr. Chandni Jain Gupta, a specialist in Dermatology, Venereology, and Cosmetology at Elantis Healthcare in New Delhi, highlighted aloe vera’s antioxidants, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. She explained that aloe vera soothes sunburns and skin injuries, moisturizes the skin, and helps fade dark spots or stretch marks. Its overnight use aids in managing acne and slowing down signs of aging. Furthermore, aloe vera strengthens hair, controls greasiness, soothes an itchy scalp, and provides protection against UV damage.

Dr. Gupta recommended applying aloe vera gel directly on dry patches for instant hydration. Combining aloe vera with a few drops of lemon before bedtime, owing to its non-oily nature, can result in glowing and nourished skin. Thus, incorporating aloe vera into your indoor plant collection proves to be a holistic approach to enhancing both the beauty of your home and your personal well-being.
